Visitors to Cuba can find a wide range of available accommodation, from classy historic hotels, to beach resorts, to humble bed and breakfast in Cuban homes. If you have time, why not try the full range, but my strong recommendation is to use “casas particulares”, the bed and breakfast accommodation. The reason is that Cuban families will adopt you and make sure that you have the time of your life! Below I am recommending the apartment of a good friend, Robinson, who is in Vedado – and advertises (along with hundreds or thousands of other Cubans) on Airbnb. The other link below is a company operated by a friend of mine, Humberto, who speaks English, is very intelligent, and helpful, and can organise your accommodation in a place that suits your tastes, anywhere in Cuba. Both Robinson and Humberto are great people, trustworthy and LGBTI friendly.
